“Over the years, we’ve been approached by a number of cities to ‘take the show on the road’ so to speak. These potential suitors see Teatro ZinZanni’s art form as one in a long line of high spirited theatrical experiences combining the arts of vaudeville, cabaret, cirque and opera with great food and strong drink – a winning combination if ever there was one. Though we continue to work closely with the City of San Francisco and plan to return in a permanent location in 2013 pending final approvals, securing financing, and completing construction, the approach from the Segerstrom Center came at the perfect moment for us. It has helped us realize a long time dream of our first ever touring production given the extended timeline of our reopening on the San Francisco waterfront."

Teatro ZinZanni to Build New Permanent Home on San Francisco's Embarcadero Waterfront
|
Set along San Francisco’s historic waterfront, Teatro ZinZanni is a bewitching evening of European Cabaret and Cirque, Divas and Madmen, Spectacle and Sensuality with Live Music and a Gourmet Five-Course Dinner – set in the nightclub of your dreams!
Teatro ZinZanni was created by Pacific Northwest non-profit arts and events producer One Reel in 1998 and enjoyed a sold-out 14 month run in Seattle before bringing its antique “spiegeltent” to San Francisco in 2000, located on Pier 29 along the City’s Embarcadero. Currently on hiatus, Teatro ZinZanni looks forward to reopening its doors at our new location at the foot of Broadway & Embarcadero. Teatro ZinZanni breaks new artistic territory with this intoxicating blend of interactive theater, spectacle, fine arts and fine dining, put together under the artistic direction of Teatro ZinZanni’s Norman Langill.
